When there is snow, there is joy. Winter is all about pure arctic nature and the beautiful season of chrystalline lakes, big snowflakes and frozen iciles. It is the time when the cold and rugged landscapes glisten in the sunshine and leafless trees are covered in thick white snow. It is the time when everything seems to progress slowly towards one goal – restoration of nature’s balance.

The beauty of winter lies in its austerity. The wild and playful sea is a prisoner underneath the thick ice. Sunbeams struggle to make their way all the way to the ground. Bleak evenings silently take over the days making the twilight fall earlier. Hoar wind blows from the north making everything freeze in place. Trees crackle and windows weep when the harsh weather wallops them. Rocks and hills are barren and flowers are sleeping underneath the snow. Yet, in all this prevailing solitude and desolation, winter is spellbinding.

Actually, despite the apparent roughshod nature, winter also has a soft and mellow side to it. It silently whispers if you listen closely. It tells fascinating stories and shows little secrets. It lends wings to your imagination. Fundamentally, the spirit of winter is in believing: waiting for the brighter days to come and believing that spring is just around the corner.
